Girls from all of ASB’s programs have been focusing on a variety of character building lessons related to our acronym for S T R O N G. Starting out with Strong Girls Can Be SUCCESSFUL for 2019, all groups have complete lessons on being TRUSTWORTHY. Here are several images of girls learning about being trustworthy.

Consider giving to After School Buddies this year and help Bend’s young girls and teens become STRONG! Strong
Girls Can… our 2018_19 theme… inspires all of us to think big and have confidence that we CAN make a difference! Help us do so by clicking on the DONATE button and make a difference in what we can do with our Buddies!

It’s hard to believe that the school year programs have wrapped up already and now it’s time to look towards day camp in August. We had some really outstanding presenters at our programs this term. From Beth Palmer from COCC’s Vet Tech program to Peggy Fisher and friends from the US Forest Service teaching about electricity and how to make our own lamps – ASB girls learned about a variety of STEM/STEAM opportunities. We had so much fun week after week! Thank you presenters!
Thank you Suzanne Landry, our Thrive! Cooking Matters chef and educator, Whole Foods Marketing Manager Becca and Christian Life Center (supplied transportation) for making our trip to learn more about reading labels and shopping for nutritious foods awesome!
